Following the advice and the restrictions that are now in place, our cottages are closed until the beginning of July. We will be re-opening the Cottages and The Granary, following the advice from the government, on 3rd July 2020. Please get in touch if you have any concerns regarding your booking. All deposits can be carried forward or refunded. If you have stayed here before you will know that we take great pride in the high levels of cleanliness we set ourselves and we are taking this opportunity to refurbish and deep clean all the cottages. These are worrying times and we will keep you posted if there are any changes here at Poppy Cottages. Stay safe.

Poppy Cottages and The Granary are beautiful holiday cottages with hot tubs, situated in the pretty village of Carleton-in-Craven, just 2 miles and within comfortable walking distance of the market town of Skipton. They have been lovingly restored from what was the original barn and farm buildings to Ivy Cottage Farm - a late 16th Century 'Yorkshire Dales' longhouse - farmhouse with barn attached. 

The cottages offer a real 'escape to the country' for couples and small families, with the added plus of your very own, relaxing hot tub - to Poppy Cottage No. 1 and The Granary only. With stunning views of the hills and countryside that stretch across the valley into Skipton, the village has many amenities, such as the village pub - The Swan serving food, a well-stocked and very popular Village Store open 7 days a week, bus links into town. There are many delightful walks around the village, up onto the moors or across the fields taking you into Skipton.

Skipton is a thriving market town with street markets and festivals held on its famous cobbled High Street and Canal Basin. The medieval castle sits proudly at the top of the High Street with its colourful woods, walks and waterways a delight to discover. Skipton is known as 'The Gateway to the Yorkshire Dales' and as the name suggests, it provides travellers with easy access to the many Dales' towns and villages further afield. With connections from Skipton's train station onto the famous Settle to Carlisle line, you'll never be short of places to go or things to see and do.

No longer a working farm, Ivy Cottage Farm is home to ourselves, Steve and Sally Hall and living on-site means we are always available to help with any queries you may have during your stay. We take great pride in the cottages, which are cleaned and maintained by ourselves to a very high standard and our aim is to ensure that you have the best holiday experience with all the comforts of home. 

For all these reasons and many more we believe Poppy Cottages and The Granary provide the ideal base for those who to escape the 'hustle and bustle' of the town yet still have all the amenities very close to hand.

The Granary provides stylish one-bedroomed accommodation attached to Ivy Cottage Farm and Poppy Cottages.Newly refurbished with a fabulous 'hot tub for two' The Granary has a large open plan lounge/dining/ kitchen with exposed wooden trusses, bifolding doors leading to a south facing decked patio garden. With one bedroom, where the beds can be arranged as a superking bed or as twins, The Granary has a stylish bathroom with walk-in shower. The accommodation is bright and airy and provides the ideal retreat for 2 people visiting this beautiful area,With stunning views of the surrounding hills and countryside and private parking for one car.

Poppy Cottage No. 1 - one bedroom cottage with hot tub and wood burning stove

A stylish one bedroom cottage with an open plan living/kitchen/dining room and fabulous private hot-tub with wooden gazebo. The cottage is an ideal couples retreat and has a spacious and contemporary interior with wood burning stove and wooden stairs leading to the first floor bedroom. Set in the quiet village of Carleton in Craven just 2 miles from the bustling market town of Skipton, it has a sumptuous bathroom with jacuzzi bath and shower over.Private south facing gardens with hot-tub and superb views of the hills and countryside.Free wifi throughout the cottage and parking for up to two cars in the private forecourt. Poppy Cottage No. 2-Sleeps 4/5

A lovely 2-bedroom cottage, converted from the original barn to Ivy Cottage Farm. The cottage has two bedrooms,two bath/shower rooms and can sleep 3 in the bedrooms with additional sleeping in the lounge with the use of the sofabed.It has a large double bedroom, with twin beds which can be arranged as a superking bed, with views of the hills and countryside from the bedroom;a lovely single bedroom with wooden white furniture and views across the valley towards Rombalds Moor.Across the landing is the 1st floor bathroom with bath and separate shower cubicle. The cottage has a newly fitted kitchen complete with dishwasher, fridge freezer, oven and hob and dining area with exposed stonework, also on the ground floor is a shower room with corner shower and toilet and wash basin.Poppy No. 2 has a large lounge with wood burning stove, flat screen tv and two sofas and armchair.One sofa makes a comfortable bed.Set in the peaceful village of Carleton in Craven just 2 miles from Skipton the bustling market town known as the Gateway to the Yorkshire Dales, Poppy No. 2has a garden/sitting out area to the front and access to the communal gardens to the rear.Free wifi throughout the cottage and parking available for 2 cars in the private forecourt.Sorry no pets
